Dr. Marvin L. Bodley was the posts most decorated soldier in the state of Tennessee. We are very proud of his accomplishments and equally proud that he was a member of American Legion Post 0291. Dr. Bodley was honored in Knox County, Tennessee for his accomplishments and given his very own day by the mayor of Knox County, Dr. Marvin Bodley Day (May 25). The post was thrilled to honor Dr. Bodley after he relocated to Hamilton County. Post 0291 and the Hamilton County Mayor honored Dr. Bodley with a certificate of recognition and we are working vigorously to bring Dr. Bodley Day to Chattanooga and Hamilton County as a memorial.
